lowcrop.aero (the Service) is a database/website system enabling administrator of glider competitions to run their outlanding office online, making it more convenient than traditional paper office. The Service consist of a website and mobile applications.

This is non-commercial service run by a private person.

This page informs you of my policy regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your data when you use the Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information collection and use

Types of Data Collected

Personal Data

By the very nature of outlanding office, I collect and process following Personal Data:

• your full name,
• your nationality (NAC membership) or club name (team),
• your glider competition ID, type and registration,
• location of your outlanding place,
• state of your glider and retrieval process,
• internal ID numbers, including those from third-party scoring systems,
• any other data provided by you in the outlanding form, which may include Personal Data of you or others (eg. names and telephones of retrieval crew).

Usage Data

I also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit the Service or when you access the Service by or through a mobile device ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's IP address, browser type, browser version, the pages of the Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

When you access the Service by or through a mobile device, this Usage Data may include information such as the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

Usage Data is stored automatically in system logs and is used only to generate anonymous usage statistics.

Cookies Data

I use cookies to store your login status and your preferences.

Cookies are files with small amount of data which include a unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device.

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of the Service.

Types of Cookies I use:

• Session Cookies. I use Session Cookies to operate the Service. By the nature of websites, cookies are essential to keep your identification after logging in.
• Preference Cookies. I use Preference Cookies to remember your various settings, like sorting and choice of language.

Log Data

Whenever you use the Service and in a case of an error in the app I collect data and information on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device IP address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing the Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Use of Data

lowcrop.aero uses the collected data for various purposes:

• To provide, maintain and improve the Service
• To provide support to users
• To provide statistics so that I can improve the Service
• To monitor the usage of the Service
• To detect, prevent and address technical issues

Who I share your Data with?

The idea of an outlanding office is promulgation of outlanding data to all parties wanting or needing to know about the outlanding. In detail:

1. All outlanding data for a competition is available to: pilot (and anyone he shared his password with), respective Team Captain and competition administration.
2. Your competition ID, name and relative outlanding position (distance and direction) are shared with pilots and Team Captains having their own outlanding within 30km of yours.
3. I provide a tool for competition administrators to optionally publish some outlanding data on their website, this data includes only: glider competition ID, competition class, pilot name, pilot's club/nationality (team name), time of landing and position.
4. Dedicated interface (API) is created for scoring*StrePla (see scoring*StrePla website) which transfers following data to StrePla: StrePla's internal ID of the pilot, competition ID, competition class, pilot name, pilot's club/nationality (team name), time of landing, task distance made and number of reached turnpoints.

No data is exchanged between different competitions set up within lowcrop.aero.

Hosting Provider

I employ third party company to facilitate the Service ("Hosting Provider"), to provide the Service on my behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist me in analyzing how the Service is used.

This third party has access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on my behalf and is obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Transfer of Data

Your information, including Personal Data, will be transferred to and maintained in Poland, where the Hosting Provider is located.

Selected data, by the nature of the system, will be also transferred to any location where users reside at the time.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

Passwords

Because Data I collect are of low value — most of it is available in other public places — access passwords are stored plain-text in the database. This is made for users convenience. Please note:

• all passwords related to a competition are visible to competition administration,
• all pilots' passwords are available to respectful Team Captains.

I highly recommend using unique passwords for lowcrop.aero, ones which are not used anywhere else.

Disclosure of Data

I may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

• to comply with a legal obligation,
• to protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public,
• to protect against legal liability.

Security of Data

The security of your data is important to me, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While I strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, I cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Children's privacy

The Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children").

I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided me with Personal Data, please contact me. If I become aware that I have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, I take steps to remove that information from my servers.

Data retention

All competition-related data is removed from lowcrop.aero database 60 days after the last declared day of the competition.

Collected data is also kept in non-structured form in Usage Logs, which are removed manually, usually once a year.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
